Prepare your shower installation with the Aquabrass BJ570 Concealed Rough-In for BJ575 and BJ576 Body Jets. Designed specifically for compatible Aquabrass body jets, this Concealed Shower Body Jet rough-in provides the internal mounting housing and plumbing connection required before the finished shower wall is completed.
The BJ570 is intended for use with the Aquabrass BJ575 and BJ576 body jet models. It is installed during the rough-plumbing stage, allowing the compatible finished body jet to be added after the wall has been waterproofed and finished with tile, stone, or another suitable shower material.
Constructed from durable ABS, the rough-in provides a concealed housing for the body jet installation. Its 1/2-inch NPT male connection accommodates compatible threaded plumbing connections, allowing the component to be integrated into the shower's water-supply system.
The adjustable installation depth accommodates different shower wall assemblies. Aquabrass specifies a rough-in depth range of approximately 2-3/8 inches to 3-1/8 inches, giving installers flexibility when positioning the housing behind the finished wall.
The square mounting face measures 4-3/4 inches wide by 4-3/4 inches high, while the inner body measures 3-7/8 inches in both width and height. The assembly has an overall depth of 3-3/16 inches. These measurements should be considered when planning the wall cavity and positioning the body jet.
For showers incorporating multiple body jets, each compatible finished fixture requires appropriate plumbing connections and installation positioning. The number and arrangement of body jets should be planned around the shower's available water pressure, supply capacity, and selected valve controls.
Correct placement of the Concealed Shower Body Jet rough-in is particularly important because the housing becomes difficult to access once waterproofing and decorative wall finishes have been installed. The component should be securely positioned and connected during the initial plumbing stage, with the installation inspected and pressure-tested before the wall is closed.
The BJ570 is the concealed rough-in component only. It does not include a finished body jet, visible nozzle, decorative trim, shower valve, or operating controls. A compatible Aquabrass BJ575 or BJ576 body jet must be purchased separately to complete the installation.
Supply piping, plumbing fittings, and installation materials are also sold separately. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended to ensure proper positioning, secure connections, and compatibility with the selected shower system.
Aquabrass provides a limited lifetime residential manufacturer warranty for the original purchaser and a two-year commercial manufacturer warranty, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
