Designed for concealed installation behind the finished shower wall, this Thermostatic Shower Rough In Valve combines temperature regulation, high-flow performance, and flexible outlet configurations in one durable brass assembly.
The T12123 supports both two-way and three-way shower installations. Its operating configuration is determined by the compatible Aquabrass decorative trim and diverter cartridge selected for the project. Available options include two-way shared, two-way non-shared, three-way shared, and three-way non-shared operation, making the valve suitable for various shower layouts.
With a shared diverter cartridge, designated shower outlets can operate individually or in compatible combinations. Non-shared cartridges allow only one selected outlet to operate at a time. This flexibility accommodates different combinations of rainheads, handshowers, body jets, and other compatible shower fixtures, depending on the selected configuration.
Manufactured in Italy, the nickel-plated solid brass rough-in body provides durable concealed construction. An included high-flow Vernet thermostatic cartridge helps maintain the selected water temperature during shower operation. The cartridge is factory pre-calibrated to 38°C / 100°F, providing a defined temperature reference for the installation.
The valve also incorporates reversible service check valves with integrated filters and an improved shut-off mechanism. These components help simplify servicing and maintenance by providing access to important internal valve functions.
Flexible plumbing connections make this Thermostatic Shower Rough In Valve adaptable to different installation requirements. Universal hot and cold inlets accept either 3/4-inch male NPT or 1/2-inch female threaded connections. Three 1/2-inch female threaded water outlets accommodate compatible shower configurations, with a removable NPT plug provided for installations that do not require the optional third outlet.
Designed for high-flow shower systems, the T12123 delivers up to 12 gallons per minute at 45 PSI and 15 gallons per minute at 75 PSI. Available flow at individual fixtures depends on the selected trim, diverter configuration, household plumbing, and operating water pressure.
The recommended finished-wall installation depth is 3-1/4 inches to 3-3/4 inches. Proper positioning during rough-in installation is important to accommodate the selected decorative trim and ensure a suitable finished appearance.
The T12123 is sold as a concealed rough-in valve with its thermostatic cartridge. Compatible decorative trim and the corresponding diverter cartridge are sold separately and are required to complete the installation. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is required.
