Marilyn 48" Black Forest Marble Dining Table - Mercana

Description
Create a dramatic centrepiece for intimate meals and sophisticated entertaining with the Marilyn 48" Black Forest Marble Dining Table. Combining genuine polished Black Forest marble with a sculptural black mango wood pedestal, this Black Marble Dining Table introduces natural stone, rich textures, and architectural elegance into your dining space.

The Marilyn features genuine Black Forest marble, distinguished by its predominantly black colouring and distinctive natural veining. Organic mineral markings and subtle tonal variations introduce visual movement across the polished surface, creating an impressive appearance from every angle.

Because marble is a natural material, each tabletop displays individual variations in colour, texture, and pattern. These unique characteristics ensure that every Marilyn table has its own distinctive appearance, celebrating the beauty of authentic stone.

The polished marble finish highlights the material's natural depth while creating a refined contrast against the subtly textured wooden pedestal. Its dark colour palette offers a sophisticated alternative to traditional white marble dining tables.

Supporting the substantial stone tabletop is a sculptural pedestal crafted from solid mango wood. The black finish creates a cohesive monochromatic appearance, while fine sandblasting allows subtle traces of the wood's natural grain to remain visible.

The central pedestal introduces architectural interest without requiring conventional corner legs. Its substantial silhouette complements the round tabletop while providing comfortable legroom and flexibility when arranging dining chairs.

Measuring 48 inches in diameter and 30 inches high, this Black Marble Dining Table comfortably accommodates up to four people. Its circular configuration encourages conversation and creates an inviting setting for everyday meals and intimate gatherings.

The generously proportioned surface provides room for dinnerware, serving pieces, and decorative centrepieces. Its versatile size makes the Marilyn suitable for condominium dining rooms, breakfast areas, open-concept kitchens, and smaller formal dining spaces.

The fixed, non-extendable tabletop measures approximately 1.75 inches thick, contributing to its substantial appearance. Its rounded silhouette creates a balanced composition that complements the sculptural wooden base.

Mercana identifies the marble surface as water-resistant and scratch-resistant. However, natural marble is not classified as stain-resistant, making prompt spill cleanup important for preserving its appearance.

Coasters, placemats, and trivets are recommended to help protect the polished stone from everyday dining activities. Appropriate natural stone care will also help maintain the tabletop's distinctive finish.

The table has a manufacturer-specified overall weight capacity of 125 pounds. Felt protection pads beneath the pedestal help reduce direct contact with suitable flooring surfaces.

Weighing approximately 266.8 pounds, the Marilyn requires careful handling during delivery and installation. Customers should consider doorway clearance, stairways, elevators, and the suitability of the intended dining location.

Assembly is required, with a removable pedestal base and an estimated installation time of approximately 15 minutes. Mercana recommends two-person assembly and includes a 5mm Allen key. No additional tools are required, and power tools should be avoided.

Designed for indoor residential use, the Marilyn complements cream upholstered dining chairs, warm neutral interiors, black accents, and understated metallic finishes. Mercana provides a two-year manufacturer warranty, subject to its applicable terms.
