Liesl 54" Black Mango Wood Dining Table - Mercana

Description
Introduce bold architectural character and sophisticated style into your dining space with the Liesl 54" Black Mango Wood Dining Table. Handcrafted from kiln-dried solid mango wood, this striking Mango Wood Dining Table combines a dramatic polished black finish, substantial construction, and distinctive geometric design.

The Liesl showcases the natural beauty of genuine mango wood beneath its rich black finish. Subtle grain patterns and organic tonal variations remain visible throughout the surface, adding depth and character to its refined contemporary appearance.

Its polished black finish creates a sophisticated statement while maintaining the warmth and individuality of natural wood. Each table features unique grain and colour variations, ensuring that no two pieces are completely identical.

The generously proportioned round tabletop measures 54 inches in diameter and features a substantial two-inch thickness. Its circular silhouette creates an elegant alternative to rectangular dining furniture while offering generous space for dinnerware, serving dishes, and decorative centrepieces.

Without sharp corners, the rounded design encourages a comfortable and conversational dining arrangement. Guests can gather naturally around the surface, making the Liesl particularly appealing for family meals, intimate dinner parties, and sophisticated entertaining.

Supporting the solid mango wood tabletop is a distinctive geometric pedestal constructed from intersecting angled wood panels. Its sculptural form introduces architectural interest while providing a substantial foundation beneath the dining surface.

The pedestal features a coordinating polished black finish that creates a seamless appearance from the tabletop to the base. Its carefully arranged geometric panels give the table a striking mid-century modern character with a contemporary architectural presence.

Measuring 54 inches in diameter and 30 inches high, this Mango Wood Dining Table comfortably accommodates up to six people. Its balanced circular proportions make it suitable for dining rooms, spacious breakfast areas, and open-concept interiors.

The centrally positioned pedestal eliminates traditional corner legs, allowing greater flexibility when arranging dining chairs. With approximately 28 inches of floor-to-apron clearance, the design provides practical space beneath the tabletop for comfortable seating.

The fixed, non-extendable tabletop maintains a consistent dining surface without requiring extension leaves. Its smooth circular profile and substantial pedestal create a balanced design that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Handmade using 100% solid mango wood and half-lap joinery, the Liesl reflects Mercana's emphasis on craftsmanship and natural materials. Kiln-dried construction supports the dimensional stability of the wood, while its contract-grade construction provides a sturdy foundation for indoor residential dining.

The polished tabletop features a food-safe lacquered finish that helps protect the natural wood surface while enhancing its sophisticated appearance. This protective coating allows the subtle wood grain to remain visible beneath the rich black colour.

Unlike many natural wood dining surfaces, the Liesl tabletop has been tested for resistance to water, stains, and scratches. These practical qualities make it particularly appealing for everyday dining while helping maintain its polished appearance.

Although the surface offers these protective characteristics, spills should still be cleaned promptly. Placemats, coasters, and trivets are recommended to reduce unnecessary exposure to heat, moisture, and everyday contact.

The substantial two-inch-thick tabletop supports a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds, providing a dependable surface for meals, serving pieces, and decorative arrangements.

Weighing approximately 114.64 pounds, the Liesl features a removable pedestal base for assembly after delivery. Its solid wood construction and geometric foundation make careful handling important when positioning the table.

Partial assembly is required, with Mercana recommending two people and approximately 30 minutes for setup. A 4mm Allen key is included, and no additional tools are necessary. Power tools should be avoided during assembly.

Designed for indoor residential use, the Liesl complements mid-century modern, contemporary, transitional, minimalist, and monochromatic interiors. Its polished black finish pairs beautifully with cream upholstery, warm cognac leather, natural oak furniture, and sophisticated neutral fabrics.

The combination of rich black mango wood, substantial tabletop proportions, and a sculptural geometric pedestal creates a distinctive focal point that balances dramatic design with everyday functionality.

Backed by a two-year manufacturer's warranty, the Liesl brings together substantial solid wood craftsmanship, comfortable seating capacity, and refined architectural styling.

Available from Canadian Renovation Superstore, the Liesl Mango Wood Dining Table combines a polished black solid wood tabletop, impressive two-inch thickness, and sculptural geometric pedestal to create an elegant gathering place for everyday meals and memorable occasions.
