Description
Build a versatile multi-function shower system with the Aquabrass T12003 Turbo High-Flow Thermostatic Rough-In Valve with Three Independent Shut-Offs. Designed for concealed installation behind the finished shower wall, this Thermostatic Shower Control Valve combines temperature regulation with three independently operated water-flow controls in one integrated brass assembly.
The included high-flow Vernet thermostatic cartridge balances incoming hot and cold water to help maintain the selected shower temperature. A factory-preset safety stop at approximately 38°C / 100°F helps prevent accidental selection of excessively hot water, while compatible thermostatic trim permits access to higher temperatures when required.
Three integrated ceramic shut-off cartridges provide independent on-and-off control for three separate shower circuits. This configuration accommodates combinations such as a rainhead, handshower, and body-jet system. Each circuit can operate individually, while multiple circuits can run simultaneously when sufficient water pressure and supply capacity are available.
Each shut-off circuit includes left- and right-side 1/2-inch female threaded outlet connections. Installers can select whichever connection best suits the plumbing layout or connect both sides of one circuit when two fixtures are intended to operate together. Although the valve features six physical side outlets, it provides three independently controlled circuits rather than six independently selectable shower functions.
Manufactured in Italy, the nickel-plated solid brass rough-in body provides durable concealed construction. Universal hot and cold inlets accommodate both 1/2-inch female and 3/4-inch male threaded connections, offering flexibility when integrating the valve into compatible shower plumbing.
Reversible service check valves incorporate integrated filters and improved service stops. These components provide maintenance access while helping protect the thermostatic cartridge from debris entering through the water supply.
Designed for high-flow shower installations, this Thermostatic Shower Control Valve delivers 12 gallons per minute at 45 PSI and up to 15 gallons per minute at 75 PSI. Actual performance when operating multiple circuits depends on household water pressure, plumbing capacity, and the connected fixtures.
A removable upper NPT plug provides an expansion option for additional shower controls. An optional Aquabrass N1206 shut-off valve or 61934 independent diverter with stop can be incorporated when the installation requires additional outlet management. These components are sold separately.
The concealed valve body measures 3-1/8 inches wide, 2-7/16 inches deep, and 13 inches high. Its specified rough-in depth ranges from 3-1/4 inches to 3-3/4 inches. Correct positioning before completing the finished wall is essential for compatibility with the selected decorative controls.
The T12003 includes its thermostatic cartridge and three ceramic shut-off cartridges. Compatible Aquabrass thermostatic and three-control shut-off trim sets are sold separately. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended. The valve carries a two-year manufacturer warranty for residential and commercial applications.
