Create a customized three-function shower system with the Aquabrass RWUS1B94ZZ30 3-Way Non-Shared Flush-Button Thermostatic Rough-In Valve. Designed for concealed installation behind the finished shower wall, this Thermostatic Shower Rough-In Valve provides temperature regulation and three-way outlet selection through compatible Aquabrass flush-button control trim.
The three-way non-shared configuration allows one selected shower function to operate at a time. Depending on the completed bathroom design, the outlets can serve a rainhead, handshower, body-jet system, waterfall outlet, or tub spout. Unlike a shared configuration, this valve does not allow multiple outlets to operate simultaneously.
Part of the Aquabrass ABGRP Powers / Propulse valve group, this Italian-made assembly is designed for compatible flush-button control trim. The separately purchased finished trim provides the visible controls for adjusting water temperature and selecting the desired shower function.
Constructed from solid brass, the concealed valve body is enclosed within a protective installation housing. Separate hot and cold water inlets supply the thermostatic mixer, while three dedicated outlets connect to the selected shower fixtures. The assembly features 1/2-inch inlet and outlet connections.
A distinguishing feature of this Thermostatic Shower Rough-In Valve is its higher-flow first outlet, positioned nearest the thermostatic mixer. This outlet delivers up to 4.8 gallons per minute, or 18 litres per minute, making it suitable for a larger rainhead or another compatible fixture requiring greater water delivery.
The remaining two outlets each deliver up to 3.9 gallons per minute, or 15 litres per minute. Aquabrass lists a maximum total flow capacity of 5.8 gallons per minute, or 20 litres per minute, under appropriate operating conditions. Actual performance depends on available water pressure, plumbing capacity, and the connected fixtures.
The adjustable installation depth accommodates different shower wall constructions and finished-surface thicknesses. Aquabrass specifies a minimum installation depth of 3-1/4 inches and a maximum of 3-7/8 inches, providing a 5/8-inch adjustment range for accurate positioning.
The complete assembly measures 13-3/8 inches in overall length, with a housing height of 4-5/16 inches and a depth of 2-3/4 inches. These dimensions should be considered when preparing the wall cavity and planning connections to the three shower outlets.
Because the concealed valve becomes difficult to access after the shower wall is completed, supply lines should be thoroughly flushed before installation. All plumbing connections should be properly installed, pressure-tested, and inspected before waterproofing and decorative wall finishes are completed.
The RWUS1B94ZZ30 includes the concealed thermostatic rough-in assembly only. Compatible Aquabrass flush-button control trim, shower fixtures, supply piping, and installation materials are sold separately. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended.
