Create a customized three-function shower system with the Aquabrass RWUS2B94ZZ30 3-Way Non-Shared Thermostatic Rough-In Valve. Designed for concealed installation behind the finished shower wall, this Thermostatic Shower Rough-In Valve combines temperature regulation with three-way outlet selection in one integrated assembly.
The three-way non-shared configuration allows one selected shower function to operate at a time. Depending on the completed bathroom design, the valve can direct water to a rainhead, handshower, body-jet system, waterfall outlet, or tub spout. Unlike a shared configuration, it does not allow multiple shower functions to operate simultaneously.
Part of the Aquabrass ABGRP Powers / Propulse valve group, this Italian-made assembly provides thermostatic temperature regulation and is designed for compatible dimmer-style control trim. The finished controls allow users to select their preferred water temperature and direct flow to the desired shower outlet.
Constructed from solid brass, the concealed valve body is enclosed within a protective installation housing. Three separate outlets provide connection points for the selected shower functions, while dedicated hot and cold inlets supply the thermostatic mixing valve.
The assembly features 1/2-inch inlet and outlet connections for integration with compatible shower plumbing. Its protective housing helps establish the correct installation position before waterproofing, tile, stone, or other finished shower wall materials are installed.
This Thermostatic Shower Rough-In Valve delivers a rated flow of 3.9 gallons per minute, or 15 litres per minute, per outlet. Its maximum total flow capacity is 6.6 gallons per minute, or 25 litres per minute, under appropriate operating conditions. Actual flow depends on available water pressure, plumbing capacity, and the connected shower fixtures.
The adjustable installation depth accommodates different wall constructions and finished-surface thicknesses. Aquabrass specifies a minimum installation depth of 3-1/4 inches and a maximum of 3-7/8 inches, providing a 5/8-inch adjustment range for accurate positioning.
The complete assembly measures 11 inches in overall length, with a housing height of 4-5/16 inches and a housing depth of 2-3/4 inches. These dimensions should be considered when preparing the wall cavity and planning the shower's plumbing connections.
Because the valve becomes difficult to access after the shower wall is completed, correct installation and testing are essential. Supply lines should be thoroughly flushed, and all plumbing connections should be installed, pressure-tested, and inspected before the finished wall is closed.
The RWUS2B94ZZ30 includes the concealed thermostatic rough-in assembly only. Compatible Aquabrass thermostatic and three-way selector trim, shower fixtures, supply piping, and installation materials are sold separately. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended.
Aquabrass provides a limited lifetime residential manufacturer warranty for the original purchaser and a two-year commercial warranty, subject to its warranty terms.
