Create the foundation for a high-performance custom shower with the Aquabrass T12000 Turbo High-Flow Thermostatic Rough-In Valve. Designed for concealed installation behind the finished shower wall, this Thermostatic Shower Rough-In Valve regulates water temperature while providing the flow capacity required for premium shower fixtures and multiple-outlet installations.
The T12000 features an included high-flow Vernet thermostatic cartridge designed to help maintain the selected water temperature when pressure conditions change within the plumbing system. Its factory-calibrated safety temperature stop is preset at approximately 38°C / 100°F, helping reduce the risk of accidentally selecting excessively hot water during everyday showering.
Constructed with a solid brass rough-in body, the valve is designed for dependable concealed installation. Reversible service check valves incorporate integrated filters and improved shut-off mechanisms, providing convenient servicing access while helping protect internal components from debris in the water supply.
Universal hot and cold inlets accommodate either 3/4-inch male NPT or 1/2-inch female threaded connections. A top bypass water outlet provides additional installation flexibility. This Thermostatic Shower Rough-In Valve delivers up to 12 gallons per minute at 45 PSI and 15 gallons per minute at 75 PSI, supporting compatible high-flow shower configurations.
An important distinction is that the T12000 controls water temperature but does not independently turn the water supply on or off. A compatible Aquabrass N1206 shut-off valve or 61934 independent diverter is required to control water flow. These components are sold separately. Multiple independent controls may be incorporated when designing a custom shower with several water outlets.
The T12000 is suitable for shower installations incorporating compatible rainheads, handshowers, body jets, and other fixtures. The final configuration depends on the separate water-flow controls, available plumbing capacity, and selected shower components. Its concealed design allows the visible controls to coordinate with the overall bathroom design.
The valve body measures 3-1/8 inches wide, 2-7/16 inches deep, and 4-15/16 inches high. Its recommended finished-wall installation depth is 3-1/4 inches to 3-3/4 inches. Correct rough-in positioning is essential for accommodating the selected decorative trim and achieving a properly finished installation.
Compatible Aquabrass decorative thermostatic trim is sold separately, allowing the visible controls to match the chosen fixture collection and finish. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is required to ensure proper connections, valve positioning, temperature calibration, and overall shower performance.
