Designed for installation behind the finished bathroom wall, this assembly houses the water-control and electronic components required for compatible Aquabrass infrared sensor faucet trim.
This Touchless Wall Mount Faucet rough-in uses an electronic solenoid valve to control water flow. When the separately purchased faucet sensor detects a user's hands, it sends a signal to the concealed valve, allowing water to flow without operating a conventional faucet handle.
Made in Italy with solid brass construction, the RWAA1395ZZ01 provides a concealed plumbing foundation for compatible wall-mounted sensor faucets. Its compact control box keeps the functional valve and electronic connections behind the finished wall while supporting a streamlined faucet installation.
The standard configuration requires a pre-mixed water supply. Unlike a conventional mixing faucet, this rough-in does not independently combine hot and cold water or adjust the delivered temperature. An appropriate external mixing or tempering system must supply water at the intended temperature.
Battery-powered operation requires four AA batteries. The assembly includes a concealed battery holder that must remain accessible for future battery replacement. Installers should plan this access before completing the surrounding bathroom wall.
The electronic system also requires a wiring connection between the visible infrared sensor trim and the concealed solenoid valve. Aquabrass recommends a 1/2-inch electrical conduit for routing the sensor wires through the wall.
This Touchless Wall Mount Faucet rough-in has a manufacturer-rated flow capacity of 12 gallons per minute at 45 PSI. The actual water flow delivered through the completed faucet depends on the compatible sensor faucet trim, available water pressure, supply piping, and installation conditions.
The concealed control box measures approximately 3-15/16 inches wide, 2-5/8 inches deep, and 4-5/8 inches high. Its body measures 3-9/16 inches wide and 4-5/16 inches high. These dimensions should be considered when planning the wall cavity and service access.
Because the assembly contains both plumbing and electronic components, its installation requires careful coordination. The location of the external mixing system, sensor wiring, battery holder, and concealed valve should be established before the finished wall is completed.
Water-supply lines should be flushed, and all plumbing connections should be installed and pressure-tested before closing the wall. Professional installation by qualified plumbing and electrical trades is recommended.
The RWAA1395ZZ01 includes the concealed touchless rough-in assembly with its electronic solenoid system and battery holder. Compatible Aquabrass sensor faucet trim, wall spout, external pre-mixing equipment, drain, and decorative components are sold separately.
