Installing the rough-in valve during the initial plumbing stage allows the decorative faucet components to be fitted after tile, stone, or other wall finishes have been completed. This two-stage installation process helps protect the visible faucet finish during construction and allows the concealed plumbing to be pressure-tested before the wall is closed.
Constructed from solid brass, the CB029 provides durable concealed construction for residential and commercial bathroom installations. The adjustable installation depth accommodates different finished-wall assemblies. Aquabrass specifies a minimum rough-in depth of 2-1/4 inches and a maximum depth of 2-15/16 inches, measured from the indicated installation reference. Correct positioning is essential to ensure that the selected spout, handle, and decorative trim fit properly after the wall is completed.
This Wall Mount Faucet Valve provides a maximum flow capacity of five gallons per minute at 45 PSI. Actual water flow through the completed faucet may be lower depending on the selected faucet trim, aerator, available water pressure, and applicable plumbing regulations.
The concealed assembly measures eight inches across its overall mounting width, with a valve body width of 7-5/8 inches and a maximum body height of 2-11/16 inches. These dimensions should be considered when planning the plumbing layout and preparing the wall cavity.
A temporary plastic test cap is included to support installation and pressure testing before the decorative faucet components are fitted. Aquabrass specifies that the temporary cap should not remain pressurized for an extended period. Installation and testing should follow the manufacturer's instructions.
The CB029 includes the concealed brass rough-in body but does not include the visible faucet spout, handle, escutcheon, or decorative trim. A compatible Aquabrass wall-mount lavatory faucet trim set is required and sold separately.
