Designed for installation behind the finished bathroom wall, this assembly supports compatible Aquabrass tub filler trim with two independent mixing controls, a bathtub spout, and a handshower.
Part of the Aquabrass ABGRP Propulse rough-in system, the assembly features two independent mixing-valve bodies. Each provides separate volume and temperature control for its connected function, allowing the compatible tub spout and handshower to be operated through their respective controls.
Constructed from solid brass, the concealed rough-in incorporates an integrated valve bridge connecting both mixing sections. Two replaceable valve cartridges are included, providing the internal control components required when the assembly is paired with compatible Aquabrass decorative trim.
This Wall Mount Tub Filler rough-in features separate hot and cold water connections, along with plumbing connections for the compatible bathtub spout and handshower. Its 1/2-inch NPT connections accommodate the corresponding supply and outlet piping within the finished bathroom installation.
Protective construction covers are included to help shield the valve openings during installation. They also assist installers with positioning the concealed assembly before tile, stone, or other decorative wall finishes are completed.
The rough-in requires four wall openings arranged across an overall width of 15-5/8 inches. Aquabrass specifies consistent 4-5/16-inch centre-to-centre spacing between adjacent openings, helping maintain the intended alignment of the completed faucet components.
Two recommended wall openings measure 1-3/4 inches, while the remaining two measure 2-9/16 inches. These dimensions should be considered when planning the finished wall and preparing openings for the separately purchased tub filler trim.
The adjustable installation depth accommodates different wall constructions and finishing materials. Aquabrass specifies a minimum depth of 2 inches and a maximum of 2-3/4 inches. The complete rough-in measures 15-5/8 inches wide and 2-15/16 inches high.
Because the assembly becomes concealed behind the finished bathroom wall, accurate positioning is essential. Installers should confirm the required spacing, installation depth, and compatibility with the selected Aquabrass tub filler trim before completing the wall.
